As someone who takes a lot of pride in being an experienced skater, I can say that I’ve used a lot of skates, from Impalas to Chicagos and even the Moxi Lolly Skates. I can also say that I’ve got a couple of friends who skate alongside me. For the purpose of making this comparison between the Xudrez and Impala Roller Skates, I decided to borrow my friend Joe’s Xudrez Roller Skates.
In my personal opinion, I’ll choose Xudrez skates over Impala Skates for three main reasons:
- Price
- Comfort,
- Beauty.
Although they are both similar skates, being hightop and all, I really enjoyed skating with the Xudrez skates, it offers more comfort. In terms of aesthetics too, I love the Xudrez skates, I mean, the shining lights on the wheels were lit. As for price, the Xudrez skates are actually less expensive than the Impala skates as we’ll see later on.
If you’d like to know more about how I came to arrive at this conclusion for my comparison, you’ll have to stick around for more. We’ll first start by understanding the features of each of these brands of skates.
What are Xudrez Roller Skates?
Xudrez roller skates is a brand of high-top and top-notch skates which come in a variety of colors including black and blue. They also come in all sizes for Adults, women, and kids. They are made of vinyl leather and as a result, are highly durable and resistant to wear and tear. The soles, however, are made of Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC).
One quality of the Xudrez Roller skates which I really found fascinating is the flashing wheels, the lights emitted by these were really beautiful and amazing. It is truly a sight to behold! Now, about the wheels, Xudrez skates are equipped with 58 * 32 mm polyurethane wheels with a hardness of 85APU. They also have ABEC-7 bearings. This allows for a wonderful skating experience and suitability for a wide variety of skating locations including indoors, outdoors, and even skate parks.
Xudrez skates come with long laces which fit well into a superb lacing system to offer a good fitting of the boots on the feet. In addition, the Xudrez Roller Skates have a Polyurethane toe stop which I found really useful in braking. Beginners will really enjoy this toe-stop functionality.
Finally, as for cost, you might be amazed that Xudrez Roller Skates are pretty inexpensive, at least compared to other skates. With just about $36 on Amazon you can get yourself a pair. Judging by the features that I have previously mentioned, Xudrez Roller Skates are clearly worth the money.
What are Impala Roller Skates?
Impala skates are another quite popular brand of skating boots that also come with a high-top design. Impala skates come in a variety of sizes and a variety of models which makes them quite popular among newbies to the skating world.
Impala skates are made of Polyurethane material, which one can say is environment-friendly. The soles, however, are made of Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC), just like the soles of the Xudrez Roller Skates.
Most impala skate models do not have lights on their wheels but you can buy the Impala light Up wheels. In any case, most Impala skates have 52mm wheels and 82 A hardness; this makes them suitable for both indoor and outdoor skating locations.

With a top-notch lace-up lacing system, the Impala skate also offers a good fitting to the wearer, this allows for balance and control while skating. In addition, because it is a high boot, the Impala skates also offer additional ankle support.
Impala skates also come with toe stops which I always advise every beginner or speed skater to utilize from time to time.
In terms of price, Impala skates normally go for about $100 on average, depending on the model.

In this video, she is trying to say that Impala skates are not suitable for aggressive skating due to durability concerns, hence why I always maintain that Impala skates should not be used at skate parks.
Xudrez vs Impala Skates- A comparison
Before delving into the differences between both skate brands, I want to say a little about their similarities. So they’re both high-top skates with wonderful lacing systems. Both skates have a solid toe stop in front of them which can prove very useful when trying to brake. I found both to offer a smooth and comfortable ride. They both also come in a wide variety of colors and sizes, making them appealing to almost everyone.
As for differences, Starting with the material, Xudrez skates are made of high-quality Vinyl leather material. Vinyl is a synthetic product that has qualities similar to those of leather. On the other hand, Impala skates are made of Polyurethane. This material has been said to be entirely vegan and novel. As for the soles, both skates have soles that are made of Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC).
Speaking of design, Impala skates come in a variety of designs including the Inline Quad Skates, and the Lightspeed Model. These all have their respective pros and cons. However, when it comes to the Xudrez skates, there is only one model- the Xudrez Roller Skate Model. This can come in black or with a stylish iridescent surface.
The Xudrez skates come with flickering lights on the wheels and these can prove quite useful in the dark, apart from being flashy and aesthetic. Conversely, Impala skates do not come with lights on their wheels, but you can separately purchase the Impala light up wheels.
Coming to the wheels, Xudrez skates have 58 * 32 mm wheels with ABEC-7 bearings and a hardness of about 85 APU. This makes them suitable for a wide range of skating locations including skate parks, and indoor and outdoor locations. They are able to withstand wear from these locations. Contrarily, Impala skates have 52 mm wheels with ABEC-7 bearings (depending on the model, but commonly, this is what you see). I have found impala skates to be good for indoor and outdoor locations but I don’t advise using them in skate parks. The kind of high impact that is expected from skate parks can be a strain on Impala skates thereby making them wear faster. As a result, the Xudrez skates are a bit more durable than Impala skates.
In terms of cost, in my opinion, Xudrez skates offer a better deal for your money. With as little as $36, one can obtain a pair of Xudrez skates while Impala skates cost an average of $100, some models can cost higher than that.
In summary here are the similarities between Xudrez and Impala Skates:
- Both have a toe stop
- They are high-top skates
- They have a good Lacing system that offers good fitting to the wearer.
- They are high-quality skates
- They are good for beginners.
- Both come in a number of colors and all sizes
- Are suitable for beginners

Xudrez Vs Impala, Which do I Choose?
In my opinion, the choice of roller skates can only be made by you. It depends on a host of factors that we have already mentioned in the comparison. However, I will prefer the Xudrez to the Impala skates after the ride I had with them.
If you’re on a tight budget, you’d definitely want to go for the Xudrez skates as they cost way less. I mean, why pay double when you can pay less for a quality product?
If you’re also looking for quality, any one of them can go. Xudrez and Impala skates are high-quality products. However, Xudrez skates offer better resistance to wearing, especially upon use in high-impact skating techniques and skate parks. Impala skates can’t withstand the use of high-impact skating techniques in skate parks.
One good thing about the Impala skates is that they are made of an eco-friendly and entirely vegan material known as polyurethane. Polyurethane does not damage the soil or cause any hormonal disorders when inhaled. However, the Vinyl material that is used in making Xudrez skates can be difficult to recycle. As a result, if you’re vegan, you might want to go for Impala skates.
Conclusion
I hope you’ve made your decision on which of these skates to go for. We have evaluated both of them in terms of material, comfort, quality, and even durability. It is now left for you to make your choice on which to purchase.
Have fun skating and don’t forget to skate safely.
