It’s almost the end of the year, and I can’t help but take a walk through the past months and how much my life has changed since I started skating in general. The world has taken a different turn, a lot of things we least expected have come back in vogue.
A year ago, skating wasn’t as Viral as it currently is, but I guess things change. Thanks to TikTok and other social media networks, skating blew up during the pandemic period. A great activity for over 7 billion people. I got a lot of my friends to try out skating for the first time- it was an awesome experience indeed.
There was no better year for the blow-up of skating than 2020, mainly because almost all recreational centers were closed up due to the pandemic. The gyms, almost all fitness groups, leisure parks, etc skating gave me a lot to hold on to during the whole year. At least I could still take dope pictures for the grams.
Moving forward, as someone that is crazy about roller skating, it took me quite a while to decide on which roller skates I would buy for the first time. Each time I saw one I liked, there would always be something that made me drop them at the end of the day.
I know I’m a picky person, butttttt… I wasn’t always this picky with shoes and the roller skates come close to buying shoes.
My coach recommended YouTube as a great spot to pick my first roller skates. There are a lot of top skaters that helped me a lot in my early stage of skating. I learned how to break in m skates, the best skates for the rink, the best roller skates for beginners, the best wheels for indoor and outdoor skating, and lots more.
There were just a lot of things I learned from YouTube. Eventually, I decided to get the Impala Rollerskates Quad Skate roller skates. While this may not be your preferred pick as a beginner, they gave me the required comfort for learning skating for the first time.
In this blog post, I’ll be talking about the best roller skates for the rink. But first, you’ll want to make sure the skates you get are suitable for the rink you’ll be skating on.
Side note; Design aside, if the wheels and the skate don’t fit properly, you’ll have a horrible experience skating.
With that being said, let’s get into what we have for today.

The Moxi Lolly skates (Link to MoxiSkates.com) will forever be one of my favorite skates yet. I felt nothing but peace the first time I tried them on. However, before that, I spoke to some expert skaters and they recommended that I buy the Moxi Lolly skates for the rink.
The only bad side to the Moxi lolly skates is that it doesn’t have much grip on the skating surface. It might be different for you; maybe it’s just something with my leg. Anyways, I just felt I should give you guys the heads up
The Moxi Lolly roller skates are available in all rainbow colors. So you’re free to explore all 7 colors of the skates. I started with peach by the way.
The general features and specs of the Moxi Lolly skates inlcude; a Powerdyne nylon plate, a soft and gummy design outdoor wheels, ABEC-5 wicked bearings. Although the wheels are soft, they are designed for heavy-duty or intense skating. Skating perfectly on just about any surface there is.

Moxi Skates Beach Bunny Roller Skates
I would choose this as one of my go-to skates (link to MoxiSkates.com) for the rink, especially as a beginner. But if you’re just starting skating for the first time, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to go for a lesser-priced Moxi beach bunny skates.
They give you all the comfort you want in a roller skates on the rink. And regardless of how many times you fall, scratch your skates against hard surfaces or just generally any difficulty you may face while skating on the rinks, they will definitely last a long while. The whole skate is designed for “Adventure”
Because of the comfort it provides, beginners can easily grow in skating and learn and try out different techniques while on the rink. It has a beautiful look and feeing on the leg, so you can’t say the skates are not fashionable enough to suit your taste. I love them.
Impala Rollerskates Quad Skate roller skates
Oh just how much I loveee these skates (Link to ImpalarollerSkates.com)!
These were the very first skates I ever tried on and liked in my entire life as a roller skater. They came highly recommended by many skating experts.
Not only were they stylish enough for me, but they were also really affordable compared to the other pairs I saw. I mean compared to the comfort they gave me, they are really cheap. I wouldn’t mind spending a couple of dollars to buy them even if they were highly-priced.
They come with a toe-stop, an aluminum metal plate, a hybrid wheel, and a beautiful-looking boot to compliment everything. You can use them on just about any surface and would be an ideal pick for the rink. If you don’t’ like most of the parts it comes with, they’re upgradable and you can go for better ones.
Xudrez Leather High-Top Roller Skates
I was a bit skeptical about buying the Xudrez leather high-top roller skates (link to Amazon), mainly because at that time I had made a few horrible purchases of roller skates with no warranty.
But then, with faith, I went ahead to buy them and they turned out really great. The whole roller skate is designed for shock absorption. This means that if you’re an intense skater, they’ll be a great pick for skating in the rink.
Overall, the wheels are great, it comes with great laces too which isn’t always the case with roller skates if you asked me. They also have a great fitting and grab on the legs of the skaters. I’ll definitely pick the Xudrez leather high-top roller skates as one of my go-to roller skates for the rink.
Sure-Grip Fame roller skates
The only thing I hated about the surge grip roller skates (Amazon link) is that they come in limited colors and I was left with the option of choosing from what was available. Anything short of that, they are amazing roller skates for the rink and I greatly recommend them if you have a hard time choosing one for yourself.
They come with wheels designed to firmly hold you while skate-dancing, gliding, and turning. So if you have a thing for doing TikTok videos while skating on the rink, I’ll suggest you go for the Sure-grip fame roller skates.
Sure-grip fame roller skates are great for all level skaters, it helps you increase your flexibility while skating and give you the adequate ankle support you need while doing so. If you’re still a beginner, you can rely on the toe-stops to help you balance your movements.
Moxi Skates Jack Boot Roller Skates
The only time you can enjoy skating to the fullest is if you invest in proper roller skates. With that being said you’ll want to give the Moxi jack boot roller skates (link to MoxiSkates.com). I really enjoyed riding with these roller skates because of the firm support I got skating on rough terrains. They are also very reliable on other types of surfaces.
Surprisingly, it doesn’t take up to a month of weeks to break them in. about 10-12 hours of skating in them does the job well. You might experience some blisters while using them for the first time, but once they are broken-in, I assure you premium comfort from them.
If you’ll be sticking with them for a longer time, you should invest In getting a few parts upgraded especially the plates and bearings.
Conclusion
Based on experience, these are by far the best roller skates for the rink. I loved every experience I had with them and you’ll want to know that no two pairs feel the same. They all have a different feeling and something new to give to the skater.
Let me know which of them are your favorite in the comment section.
Until next time friends!
